John began playing drums at the age of 9 and did his first gig at school aged just 10, his life revolves around the drums as a teacher working at the Rhythm Hub in Gloucester and visiting local schools. We are pleased to report that John has reduced the average age of the band members hugely and for this we are very grateful.
 
He has a BA (Hons) degree from The Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford where he studied under big names such as Pete Riley and Toby Drummond.
 
Performing in function bands since he was 16, John shows experience and talent beyond his years and we are enjoying revisiting some of The Bridge favourites with him but are also very excited with some of the fabulous new tunes we are introducing to the set list.
 
John has recorded and performed with many bands both locally and across the UK and has a huge repertoire of style and technique which will be very useful playing with The Bridge. Unusually for a drummer, John is the musical director of the band, keeping us all in check and making sure Rob has his Capo on the correct fret!
